Description

• The Program Manager provides overarching subject matter expertise in all matters required to successfully execute a Department of Defense Weapons Systems acquisition program in a highly classified and accelerated environment. 
• Serve as the Integrated Project Team (IPT) Lead/Deputy Lead for a critical level 2 IPT. 
• Duties require working closely with government and industry engineers and Program Managers (PMs) to assist in identifying focus areas for increased efficiencies in contracting, contract execution, design and development, engineering, and test and evaluation. 
• Given the classified nature of the program, the Program Coordinator must also serve as a liaison with other restricted-access programs and technologies to avoid redundancies, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs. 
• The Program Manager shall work closely with the Government PM and Lead Engineer, as well as the support leads such as the Risk Manager and the Scheduler. 
• The candidate shall be able to quickly understand complex problem sets related to alternative solutions and strategies and be able to assist Program personnel in developing mitigation or capture plans for focus areas of improvement. 
• The ability to prepare concise and targeted briefing content and deliver “to the point” presentations to decision makers is a must.

Requirements

MINIMUM TANGIBLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or related technical area in line with the above functional description.
• Fifteen (15) years of experience working with DoD weapons systems acquisition programs.
• Ten (10) years of experience working with highly classified DoD acquisition programs and developmental technologies (NAVAIR experience preferred).
• Ten (10) years in a lead role within a DoD program office (e.g., PM, Deputy PM, Project Lead, IPT Lead, Operations Officer, etc.) (NAVAIR experience preferred).
• Experience serving in Leadership roles within diverse project teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
• Fifteen (15) years of experience operating Fleet weapon systems.
• Integrated Project Team Leadership experience highly desirable
• Active Top Secret clearance
