LCSW Specific Job duties
SPECFIC DUTIES/TASKS THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
2.1 The Licensed Clinical Social Worker shall perform the following procedures at Dunham US
Army Health Clinic, Carlisle Barracks, PA, as required and in strict compliance with standing orders and
protocols set forth by the MTF to include but will not necessarily be limited to the following:
2.2 The contractor shall perform a range of tasks of a Behavioral Health Clinician. Duties shall
include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
2.2.1. Crisis intervention.
2.2.2. Risk and safety assessments.
2.2.3 Diagnosis and development of treatment plans.
2.2.4. Individual, group of family psychotherapy treatment sessions.
2.2.5. Written treatment plans with objective goals, interim objectives,
intervention and target dates.
2.2.6. Ongoing therapeutic intervention during scheduled appointments.
2.2.7. Discharge Summaries.
2.2.8. Peer review.
2.2.9. Documentation in electronic medical record.
2.3 The HCP is responsible for direct patient care as well as coordination with professional,
paraprofessional, inter intra disciplinary medical team members in total patient care activities
2.4 The HCP must be able to initiate emergency measures and notify physicians and other
providers when necessary.
2.5 The HCP must perform procedures as ordered to assure that adequate safeguards are
maintained, and recognize changes in equipment functions, or procedures, which might result in
increased exposure. Recommend methods to prevent unsafe hazards.
2.6 The HCP will continuously monitor patient's conditions for potential medical or life
threatening crisis. Notify supervisor of any safety issues or concerns with patient care.
2.7 The HCP will participate in MTF Performance lmprovemenVQuality Assurance Programs as
required to meet the standards of the Joint Commission (JC).
2.8 The HCP shall abide by clinic Standard Operating Procedures, MEDCOM policies and
regulations, JC and improvement directives in-service training, participation in patient staffing
maintenance of records, utilization review, performance evaluation, and release of medical information,
and privileges.
2.9 The HCP will enter resulting patient data into the Composite Health Care System
(CHCS)/Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) database for accession of
records within 72 hours of a patient encounter.
2.1O The HCP will complete department forms and report accurately and promptly when
appropriate.
2.11 The HCP shall perform routine assignments without requiring specific guidelines and
procedures from the supervisor.
