- AIMM-American Infrastructure Maintenance Management currently seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations, performing a variety of tasks related to asset maintenance activities.
This position requires employees to travel and stay 80% out of town, at least 5 days per week, with traveling expenses paid for by AIMM. Employees regularly work during the day and occasionally during the night shift. Employees must be able to adjust to a continuously changing schedule, as needed.
Routine Maintenance Activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Landscape Area Maintenance: Weed Control, Small Machine Mowing
- Tree Trimming and Removal
- Clean Drainage Structures
- Repair or Replace Storm Drains, Side Drains, Cross Drains• Roadside Litter Removal and Manuel Sweeping
- Repairing Non-Paved Shoulders, Front Slopes, and Roadside Ditches
- Guardrail Repair
- Bridge Maintenance and Repair
- Asphalt Repair
- Sodding
- Concrete Repair
- Delineators Replacement and Installation
- Signs Repairs and Installation
- Fence Repair
- Graffiti Removal
- Traffic Control Services
- Emergency Response
- Miscellaneous Routine Maintenance
Responsibilities:
- Performing typical roadway maintenance activities including the use of tools and operation of equipment supplied by AIMM and other equipment utilized in performing the activities defined in the scope of work, while performing the day-to-day activities of Field Crews, as directed by supervisor, crew leader, or designee. Employees must adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as any AIMM Company policies and procedures.
- Follow AIMM’s Safety Protocols and wear the PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) provided by AIMM, at ALL times, including your disposable mask/face covering when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain, such as when riding in the company vehicle, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. AIMM provides its employees with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), at the company's expense, except for Steel-Toe Boots, which MUST be worn at all times, regardless of the presence of a hazard and meet OSHA requirements; must have leather upper, must have oil resistant and non-skid soles, and must comply with ASTM 2413-05 with an impact resistance rating of 75 and a compression resistance rating of 75.
- Completing any training courses successfully within the established time frame.

- Follows all safety protocols, work outdoors, stand and walk for long periods of times, lift up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs, bend, carry, climb, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, sit, squad, reach overhead, stand, twist, and walk.
Highway Maintenance Technician Minimum Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of typical roadway maintenance activities including the use of tools and operation of equipment, utilized in performing the activities defined in the scope of work, while performing the day-to-day activities of Field Crews, as directed by your supervisor, crew leader, or designee.
- Ability to work outdoors, stand and walk for long periods of times, lift up to, but not limited to, 50 lbs, bend, carry, climb, grasp, kneel, lift, pull, push, sit, squad, reach overhead, stand, twist, and walk.
- Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation, while being responsible and committed to come to work on a daily basis.
- Ability to drive company trucks. (No CDL license required, but preferred)
- Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) preferred, but not required (training will be provided).
- Ability to complete a Temporary Traffic Control Intermediate course.
Hiring Requirements:
AIMM is a Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace. Candidates will be required to controlled substance/drug testing.

- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to provide valid proof of Personal Auto Insurance Policy and be listed as an authorized driver.
- Must be able to meet the following driver guidelines:
- For drivers 25 years and older: No more than four moving violations or one accident and one violation within the last three years.
- For drivers 23 or 24 years old: No more than two moving violations within the last three years.
- No driver may have any major convictions within the last five-year period.
- For any vehicles requiring a Commercial Driver's License: Drivers must have a minimum of one year with appropriate CDL and experience driving similar vehicles to those scheduled. For drivers who have between one and two years of experience, please submit to the underwriter for review.
