As part of our commitment to preserving the park's natural integrity and enhancing visitor experience, we are seeking a dedicated Graffiti Response Field Technician to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Graffiti Response Field Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the pristine beauty of the James River Park System by promptly and effectively removing graffiti from various surfaces within the park. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting routine patrols of the park to identify and document graffiti vandalism.
• Utilizing appropriate tools and cleaning agents to remove graffiti from a variety of surfaces, including rocks, walls, signs, and structures.
• Adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing graffiti removal tasks.
• Maintaining accurate records of graffiti removal activities, including locations, dates, and methods used.
• Interacts with and promotes the graffiti program with park visitors as removal work is being conducted.
• Collaborating with park staff and law enforcement agencies as needed to address instances of repeated or severe vandalism.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in graffiti removal or related maintenance work preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with graffiti removal techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Comfort with repetitive tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
