**Job Description**

Under the supervision of the department manager, the incumbent's main mission is to purchase and manage inventories of precious metals and catalytic converters.

* Conducts, via various information directories, internet or otherwise, research to locate potential suppliers of catalytic converters and maintains this information in a computerized database;

* Conducts customer approaches by to obtain business appointments;

* Ensures good rapport is maintained between the company and purchasing customers and suppliers;

* Prepares bids and has them approved by the appropriate manager.

* Inquires daily about the selling price of metals;

* Analyzes and monitors live markets for the sale of precious metals and assists in assessing risk when selling and trading rates;

* Validate material received to ensure compliance with product purchased ;

* Inputs catalyst and precious metal inventory data, prices and sales;

* Performs on-site checks to ensure system and floor quantities match;

* Document and formalize procedures.

**Qualifications**

* A minimum of 2 years experience in sales;

* Ability to work in an environment where metals are graded/processed and recycled;

* Ability to build trust, persuade and establish lasting relationships;

* Good negotiator;

* Self-starter, resourceful, interpersonal skills, and drive are required for the position;

* Ability to work under pressure;

* Good analytical skills.
