AIDA-America Corporation is Hiring a Mechanical Machine Builder Near Dayton, OH

AIDA is a global leader in the design, manufacture, sale, service, refurbishment and modernization of metal stamping presses and metalforming automation equipment. Currently AIDA has more than 3,000 presses operating in North America and 80,000 worldwide, with capacities ranging from 35 to 4,000 metric tons. AIDA is the pioneer in developing Servo Direct Drive technology for stamping press applications.

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Machine Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have one to three years of experience performing the mechanical assembly of components preferably in a production machinery environment.

What you need for this position:

  • One to three years of experience performing mechanical assembly operations.
  • Capable of using hand and power tools, forklift and overhead crane.
  • Able to read and understand large assembly drawings.
  • Basic understanding of assembly processes including pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment including lathes, mills, surface grinders and welding equipment.
  • Associate’s degree from a trade school, community college or equivalent.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assemble production equipment according to customer specifications through assembly of parts and components outlined in the specifications.
  • Prior to assembly, drill and tap castings and weldments as required within specified tolerances.
  • Prior to assembly, sand, de-burr, wash and clean large castings, weldments and assorted parts. Assist in checking components against bill of materials (BOM) to assure all parts are accounted for.
  • Using blue prints, completes subassemblies with minimal or no supervision to specified tolerances.
