AIA New York | Center for Architecture is Hiring a Tours Associate Near New York, NY
Department: Membership Reports to: Managing Director AIANY Effective Date: April 2024 Role Overview The Tours Associate is the primary point of contact between AIA New York and its contracted Walking Tour guides, Boat Tour guides, tour partners, and general public. The Tours Associate handles the scheduling and staffing for AIA New York tours, for both regular offerings and special event tours. This part-time role can be done mostly remotely, and requires occasional weekend availability. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
Liaising with tour guides, customers, and contract partners
Manage boat and walking tour schedules
Handle invoicing and monthly project reporting
Update tour descriptions as necessary
Update tours menu
Handle attendance and continuing education records
Respond to questions and inquiries from the public and potential tours customers
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Demonstrated interest in architecture and the design world
Experience with the creation and management of complex schedules
Knowledge of databases
Superior attention to detail and ability to handle and prioritize multiple needs simultaneously
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Professional demeanor with great customer service and phone etiquette
Additional Information Location/Hours: Primarily Remote, Part-Time (5-10 hours off season November - March; 10 – 15 on season March - October) Pay Rate: $29 per hour
