Private Home Housekeeper/Event Coordinator

We are seeking a meticulous and confidential private home Housekeeper and Event Coordinator to maintain the cleanliness and organization of our premises while also assisting in planning and executing events and parties. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of the facility is immaculate and well-organized, while also demonstrating creativity and coordination skills in event planning. They will uphold strict confidentiality standards and exhibit professionalism and integrity in all aspects of their work.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform thorough cleaning tasks including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and disinfecting all areas of the premises to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Organization: Ensure that all rooms and spaces are neatly arranged and free from clutter. Arrange furniture and decor items as instructed while maintaining aesthetic standards.
  • Laundry Care: Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and linens. Follow specific instructions for handling delicate fabrics and garments.
  • Restocking and Inventory Management: Monitor supplies of cleaning materials, toiletries, and other household essentials. Inform management when supplies need replenishing and assist with inventory management.
  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality. Respect the privacy of residents, clients, and fellow staff members.
  • Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to detail when cleaning and organizing spaces, ensuring that no area is overlooked. Identify and address any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
  • Event Planning: Assist in planning and coordinating events and parties hosted at the premises. This includes but is not limited to selecting themes, arranging decorations, coordinating catering services, and managing guest lists.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with supervisors, colleagues, and event vendors regarding event details, requirements, and any special requests or concerns.
  • Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Follow all established protocols, safety guidelines, and procedures outlined by the employer. Adhere to any specific instructions provided for cleaning, event planning, and maintaining the premises.
  • Flexibility: Be willing to accommodate changes in schedule or duties as needed, especially during events and parties. Adapt to new tasks or responsibilities with a positive attitude.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Housekeeper or similar role, preferably in a residential or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent cleaning skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational abilities and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Creativity and coordination skills for event planning and execution.
  • Reliable and trustworthy, with a professional demeanor.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, as well as safety procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
