Overview

The RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for patients having a procedure performed in the GI Laboratory. The RN has advanced training in this area and provides care utilizing the nursing process, therapeutic environment, treatment and diagnostic processes, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.

Current Basic Life Support Level C (Healthcare Provider) certification.

Current ACLS and PALS certifications.

Required certifications within 90 days of employment – blood glucose monitoring moderate sedation.
