Overview

Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is searching for a Special Procedures Technician. Candidate must be able to rotate on call as needed. Monterey Park Hospital is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 40 years.

Responsibilities

The Special Procedures Tech must have knowledge of full vascular anatomy and have ability to scrub in as well as circulate during procedures. Candidate must have the ability to manage working in a demanding modality and cope with working late hours. Candidate will be required set-up angio trays, have the ability to scrub for procedures, able to close a procedure including having knowledge on closure devices. The Special Procedures Tech will also be required to perform CT guided procedures, both as CT Operator and Tech Circulator during these procedures. Candidate will have knowledge of all supplies for performing CT guided procedures.

Qualifications

Certification from CDPH as Diagnostic Radiology and Fluoroscopy Technologist required. Advanced certification in computed tomography by 1/1/18 required. Current BLS certification required. Minimum of 2 years experience or advanced certification in ARRT Computed Tomography.
