The Charge RN is responsible for coordinating the nursing care on their shift. The Charge RN will oversee theunit focusing on safe, effective care for patients and staff through increased communication and customer service.
The Charge RN will monitor and coordinate the daily patient activities of the unit, make rounds, assign staff and patients to ensure full coverage of patient care needs are met at all times for the assigned shift. Act as a resource in regards to admissions, discharges, transfers, assessments, reassessments, treatments and/or procedures. Maintain communication with allied services, physicians, staff and family.
Minimum 2 years experience in Medical Surgical. Two to five years experience in nursing management. Current CA Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. NIHSS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
