Provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and family about various health conditions, and provide adviceand emotional support to patients and their families. The Admission/Discharge nurse will work proactively across allclinical services to ensure all plans and arrangements are in place for the patients; admission and discharges. The A/Dnurse assists with admission and discharge paperwork to support hospital throughput. The A/D nurse will respond torequests for admissions/discharge assistance in departments throughout the hospital. The A/D nurse may be asked toassist staff nurses with patient procedures such as phlebotomy, initiating or discontinuation of IV’s relative to theadmission/discharge process.This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC Anaheim RegionalMedical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of AHMCAnaheim Regional Medical Center and AHMC Healthcare Inc. EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCEGraduate of RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred.One year acute care experience preferred.Must have excellent interviewing and physical assessment skills.Must be able to communicate effectively with others both written and verbalMust be computer literateMust have good customer service skillsLICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSCurrent CA RN licenseCurrent BLSCurrent ACLS
