AHL’s office in downtown Honolulu is seeking a Technical Designer with Department of Defense (DoD) experience to join our highly creative and collaborative team. The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for preparation of design and/or construction drawings and documents.

Salary Range: $70,000 to $90,000

AHL offers a hybrid office/remote 3/2 schedule and a 4-1/2 day work week.

• LEED Accreditation preferred.

• Substantial knowledge of DoD procedures for production of construction and design development documents.
• Thorough knowledge of architectural planning, detailing, drafting, construction materials and methods.
• Working knowledge of related engineering principles and building codes.
• Proficiency in CAD.
• Revit and/or 3-D software program experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Prepares design development and construction documents, coordinates details and dimensions.
• Designs and develops technical design concepts, plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Assists in the direction of preparation of drawings by other designers.
• Checks for code compliance.
• Conducts general drafting relating to more complicated areas of construction documents and aids in solutions to general architecturalproblems.
• Acts as job captain on less complex projects.
