Job Title: Structural Fitter
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm (Overtime & Saturday work may be required)
The Structural Fitter position averages 40 hours per week and has the potential to earn $31,000 plus per year!

Description of Responsibilities:
- Fit steel pieces together to make a finished product - arches, structural beams, columns, platforms, ladders, handrails, stairs, gratings, etc.
- Create templates and models for welding projects, using mathematical calculations based on blueprint information.
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly.
- Cut, contour, and bevel metal and structural shapes to dimensions as specified by blueprints, layouts, work orders, and templates.
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
Required experience and skills:
- 2 years’ experience working in a fabrication shop
- Ability to read and interpret structural steel detail shop drawings
- Ability to use an oxygen and acetylene cutting rig
- Ability to use drills, cut off saws, metal saws, punches and plate roll
