Job Posting Location: Remote - USA Job Title: Director, Payor Contracting Analytics Job Description: Position Summary: The Director, Payor Contracting Analytics, reporting to the Vice President of Payor Contracting Analytics & Ops, will lead the development of analytics to support payor negotiations and other complex, strategic decisions with respect to payor relationships. The successful candidate is an independent, analytical, and intellectually curious individual who can take initiative, work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and articulate findings to a wide range of business stakeholders, including senior leadership throughout the organization. Essential Job Functions: Manage Payor Contracting Analytics process: Evaluate the profitability of payor contracts; lead development of financial models to project financial impact of potential engagement with each payor and for the market/partner overall Develop and deliver recommendations to management to assist with strategy development and decision making Work cross-functionally throughout the process: Work closely with Market Finance and Actuary to understand payor level financials and develop key inputs / assumptions Work with other departments to collect or share information (Strategy, Corporate Development, Growth, Quality, Performance Management, etc) Present findings to Market Leadership to ensure buy-in and develop strategy Work with complex and potentially unfamiliar data sets to extract, analyze and interpret financial data, and identify any discrepancies, anomalies, or other questions Maintain timelines and checklists to manage the process through to completion and communicate status to stakeholders Support other Payor Contracting Analytics workstreams, as needed Deliver insightful, data-driven recommendations to management to assist with decision making and/or strategy development Participate as an active financial leader during internal payor contracting discussions Develop a deep understanding of CMS MA premium, bid mechanics, and benefits to support essential job functions Oversee junior team members of the Payor Contracting Analytics team Comply with SOX processes and support development of new controls, as needed The Successful Candidate Will Possess: Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and be capable of breaking down highly complex problems and large amounts of data in order to synthesize them into a coherent strategy and robust financial models. Power user of Excel Ability to translate results into key insights for verbal or written presentation to senior management Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, work under pressure to meet time deadlines, and work independently without close supervision Sound business judgment and a sense of urgency Strong communication skills; ability to present findings and recommendations to a wide range of constituents verbally and/or in presentation formats Adaptability to working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Ability to collaborate effectively with actuarial and financial leadership Excellent organization skills and keen attention to detail Intellectual curiosity; motivated to derive insights and share with leadership Required Qualifications: Minimum Experience Minimum 6 – 8 years of analytical experience: management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, strategy, or planning & analysis At least 4 years of healthcare services, managed care and /or physician group industry experience Education/Licensure: Bachelor’s degree required; Economics, finance, accounting, or other analytical studies preferred; MBA and/or related advanced education in health management preferred Location: Austin, TX Pay Range: $129,700.00 - $162,100.00 Salary range shown is a guideline. Individual compensation packages can vary based on factors unique to each candidate, such as skill set, experience, and qualifications.
