LPN/RN Wound Care Nurse/ RN Unit Manager

RN Unit Manager Position Summary

The RN Unit Manager is responsible for supervising and leading our clinical team on the unit. Their leadership role includes the following responsibilities: 

  • Manage the nursing care for all residents and delegate shift tasks to nurses.
  • Supervise nurse aides as they complete their assignments.
  • Observe residents’ conditions, oversee, and respond as necessary.
  • Communicate with patients, family members, and the interdisciplinary team about care plan changes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
  • Perform other assigned duties as directed by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.

RN Unit Manager Requirements

  • Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification

Wound Care Nurse Position Summary

The Wound Care Nurse focuses on prevention and healing of pressure ulcers. Their role also includes the following responsibilities: 

  • Focuses on the community’s wound care program, working with the wound care physician.
  • Oversee resident care related to the prevention and healing of pressure ulcers.
  • Provide continuing education of wound care to our staff and families.
  • Participate in QAPI and execute wound care assessments.
  • Perform any other additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
  • Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.

Wound Care Nurse Requirements

  • Active LPN or RN license in the applicable state
  • 3 years nursing experience
  • Completed Infection Control training.
