Job Title: Process Engineer

Leonardo is searching for a candidate who is motivated and has an eye for detail. We are in need of a candidate with the extraordinary ability of abstract, logical and analytical thinking, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people. A process engineer is in charge of developing specific procedures, processes, and concepts that can be used to simplify, optimize, or improve existing internal processes. Other duties include developing and executing training and/or coaching programs for process operators.

1. | Analyze workflows, processes, and procedures within and across multiple departments to determine if departmental, or interdepartmental process gaps exist and develop a resolution plan. | 30% |
2. | Execute, collaborate, and support cross-functional team projects to identify and resolve departmental and interdepartmental process gaps. | 20% |
3. | Design and deliver training programs to ensure employee understanding and adoption of new processes. | 20% |
4. | Develop and document clear, concise, and standardized procedures, work instructions, and training materials. | 20% |
5. | Develop and implement data-driven solutions to support informed decision-making at all levels of the organization. | 10% |

A. Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline required, with a focus on process improvement preferred. |
B. Experience
3 years in aviation quality, production, or manufacturing environment preferred |
C. Competencies & Attributes
1. | Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is required |
2. | Strong skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint for creating and analyzing documents, presentations, and training materials. |
3. | Experience in navigating production, configuration and design systems (e.g. SAP, etc.) is strongly desired. |
4. | Must be highly organized, self-starting, and capable of managing strict and challenging time demands. |
5. | Ability to effectively communicate complex processes to a diverse audience, both verbally and in writing. |
