AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corporation is Hiring an Industrial Engineer, Work Analyst Near Philadelphia, PA

Summary of Position:

Applies Industrial Engineering principles, techniques, and decision tools to analyze, report, and implement changes in manufacturing, engineering and service operations. Develops models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide summary analysis and metrics as directed by higher level employees for consultation to customers (e.g., management, departments, suppliers). Conduct Time Studies and observations of assembly techniques, supporting the continuous improvement of the production of the Aircraft. Researches, designs, develops, improves, and implements processes as directed to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts for large scale systems integration and asset utilization. Utilizes engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models, simulation, statistics) to assist in developing optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, equipment). Analyzes and supports the development of the value stream, including capability, capacity, throughput, work flow and logistics (e.g., critical path, lead-time, transportation, factory layout). Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria. Analyzes and interprets data to provide feedback on assessment results and potential areas of risk and improvement. Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans as directed by management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct time studies on the shop floor and identify process improvements
  • Analyze data, create and provide summary of KPIs to management
  • Create and improve Databases for efficient data mining and report generation
  • Monitor and Control Aircraft schedule adherence to the Master Production Plan 
  • Lead implementation of process improvements and cost initiatives

Qualifications for Position:

Education:

  • Bachelors in Industrial Engineering

Experience

  • 1-3 years implementing Industrial Engineering principles in a Manufacturing setting
  • Pre-determined Time Management project experience (MTM, MEK, MOST..etc)
  • Experience implementing VBA code to create and develop Databases and Reporting

Competencies & Attributes

  • Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, PPT, Project…)
  • Ability to develop in VBA to create and improve Database relationships and mining of data
  • Pre-determined Time Management experience. Ex: Methods-Time-Management (MTM, TMC/MOST, MEK…etc) project experience
  • Skilled public speaker with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hands-On problem solver
