AGS Inc. is Hiring a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FT) Near Las Vegas, NV

Job Overview:
The purpose of this position is to lead and direct the Company’s comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process. This includes assisting stakeholders in achieving objectives by tracking financial and productivity performance, forecasting and budgeting, developing capital expenditure plans, and performing ad hoc analysis. This position will also be required to support the financial accounting team in the monthly financial close process by ensuring accounting records are complete and accurate. This position requires a strong focus on business partnering with internal stakeholders, providing expert analysis and financial advice. This role requires a determined and motivated candidate who will work well in both a team and individual environment, work well under pressure, multi-task, manage workflow, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with key personnel within management team to establish strategic plans and develop comprehensive forecasts and budgets including presentation to Executive management.
  • Understand and analyze key business drivers and communicate their impact on achieving long-term financial plans.
  • Update, enhance, and manage the company’s portfolio of financial models, performance metrics, and forecasting and budgeting tools.
  • Record and monitor KPI’s; highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances.
  • Perform monthly review and analysis of numbers and key metrics for each financial close period.
  • Lead forecast & budget process including loading into consolidation models, creating reports, and distribution to major stakeholders.
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
  • Ability to comprehend and utilize company’s suite of business intelligence tools including ERP system, financial reporting software, and financial consolidation tools.
  • Lead systems upgrades and drive continuous business process improvement in reporting with emphasis on business intelligence tools.
  • Seek opportunities for cost reduction and lead cross functional teams to enhance cost and process efficiencies.
  • Support and drive an achievement culture in servicing internal stakeholders through expert advice and analysis.
  • Hire, train, develop, and mentor subordinates into Finance leaders ready to take on expanded roles when opportunities arise.
  • Team first orientation with members of Finance & Accounting organization.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Skills/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent required.
  • 7 years in financial reporting and analysis with progressively responsible experience in financial role and management.
  • Demonstrable track record of working with and servicing internal stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to be proactive, handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Proven leadership and professional development skills with the ability to train and develop subordinates with a sense of commitment and community.
  • Ability to be flexible to a changing environment, acknowledging urgency when necessary.
  • Exercise good judgement and discretion in confidential matters.
  • Ability to demonstrate ethical conduct and decision-making skills.
  • Team oriented professional with a “roll-up his/her sleeves” attitude, who supports and promotes a team effort and celebrates team successes.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting principles.
  • Costing and manufacturing knowledge preferred.
  • MS office suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel functions and abilities.
  • Experience with Macros, VBA, and SQL knowledge.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics desirable.
  • Experience with enterprise reporting software.
