Position: Farm Equipment Operator

*We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Farm Equipment Operator to join our team. This person will be responsible for accurately and safely applying fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural products to crops according to agronomic recommendations and customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Operate application equipment, such as sprayers, spreaders, and injection systems, to apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other agricultural inputs to crops.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate application rates and uniform coverage across fields.
• Follow prescribed application methods and agronomic recommendations to achieve desired results while minimizing environmental impact.
• Conduct soil tests to determine appropriate fertilizer types and amounts.
• Maintain detailed records of fertilizer usage, application rates, and field conditions.
• Inspect fields for nutrient deficiencies/excesses; adjust application plans as needed.
• Collaborate with agronomists and soil scientists for customized fertilizer programs.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Stay updated on fertilizer technology and agricultural nutrient management practices.
• Coordinate with farm managers and agronomists for application schedules and inquiries.

Are You Qualified?

• Able to work overtime and occasional weekends.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be willing and able to maintain a Class A CDL and appropriate endorsements (with our financial assistance).
• Must be willing to submit to a DOT drug test and background.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $57,500.00 - $68,000.00 per year
