Hiring: Farm Equipment Operator

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain agricultural equipment such as sprayers, spreaders, and other specialized machinery.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other chemicals to crops according to prescribed specifications and safety guidelines.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate application rates and coverage, adjusting settings as necessary.
• Monitor weather conditions, crop growth stages, and pest/disease pressures to determine optimal application timing.
• Follow integrated pest management (IPM) practices to minimize chemical usage and environmental impact while maximizing crop yields.
• Maintain accurate records of applications, including product usage, application rates, and field conditions.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements and safety standards related to chemical handling, application, and equipment operation.
• Communicate effectively with farm managers, agronomists, and other team members to coordinate application schedules and address any issues or concerns.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Requirements:

• Ability to achieve appropriate licensing.
• Ability to work around chemicals and obtain hazmat.
• Must be able to work overtime hours in peak seasons (fall and spring).
• Able to maintain Class A CDL with financial assistance from company.

Pay: $59,000.00 - $64,500.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
