Agricruit is Hiring a Farm Equipment Operator/Laborer Near Watseka, IL

Position: Farm Equipment Operator/Laborer

Responsibilities:

  • Operate fertilizer application equipment to distribute fertilizers, nutrients, and soil amendments to crops or land areas.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure safe handling, storage, and application of fertilizers.
  • Calibrate and maintain fertilizer application equipment to ensure accurate application rates and consistent performance.
  • Monitor soil and crop conditions to determine appropriate fertilizer types and application rates.
  • Work closely with agronomists, soil scientists, and other agricultural professionals to develop and implement fertilizer plans that optimize crop yield and quality.
  • Keep detailed records of fertilizer usage, application rates, and field conditions.
  • Conduct soil tests and nutrient analyses to assess soil fertility levels and make recommendations for fertilizer applications.
  • Monitor environmental conditions and regulations to ensure compliance with laws governing fertilizer use and runoff.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fertilizer equipment to keep it in good working order.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and advancements in fertilizer application and soil management practices.
  • Communicate effectively with farm managers, landowners, and other stakeholders to coordinate fertilizer applications and address any concerns or questions.

Are You Qualified?

  • Able to work overtime and occasional weekends.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be willing and able to maintain a Class A CDL and appropriate endorsements (with our assistance).
  • Must be willing to submit to a DOT drug test and background.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
