SAFETY: 

• Promote the Safety Culture of Agri-Service. 
• Advocate and exemplify safety and safe working habits using proper safety equipment not limited to hand, face, ear and eye protection. (PPE)
• Follows company safety policies and procedures on the jobsite, promotes safe behavior with our customers. 
• Maintains a clean service truck, performs required inspections, and completes necessary paperwork. 
• Ensures equipment under repair is in a zero-energy state before servicing (Lock out Tag Out). 
• Handles chemicals in accordance with the Safety Data Sheet (SDS). 
• Operates cranes within manufactures guidelines, understands the crane’s lifting capacity.
• Uses correct tooling, performs tool inspections regularly, follows tools instructions and cleans as needed. 
• Performs Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) of location and equipment, looks to eliminate or reduce potential hazards.
• Identifies potential safety concerns on all makes and types of equipment through walk around inspections and reports them to the supervisor and/or the customer. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Performs in field service and support of customers as instructed or required. 
• Responsible for the accurate completion of installations and ensures that all process documentation is completed.
• Strong understanding of farm machinery. 
• Ability to troubleshoot defective systems. 
• Good report writing skills. 
• Supports sales and marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, customer days, and other events as required. 
• Travels to farm sites and conducts farm surveys; performance audits, assessment of existing infrastructure, and completion of a farm survey checklist as needed.
• Develops Work Package documents for installations. 
• Actively provides input on the creation of new processes. 
• This employee is assigned to an Agri-Service location however, this is a remote position with regular travel to customer sites expected. 
• Works within and promotes corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to effectively communicate (comprehend, speak, read and write) in English. 
• Proven ability to achieve results.
• Works well as a team member. 
• Must have strong mechanical and electrical skills.
• Competently meets or exceeds the skills defined in the “Field Service Technician Level 1 Competency Matrix” provided as an attachment to this job description. 
• EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 
• Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). 
• Two years’ experience in an Agriculture technology environment performing related tasks required.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS: 

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing on and off agricultural machinery, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
