Purpose : Places hooks on conveyor, loads unpainted parts on hooks for painting, off-loads painted parts from hooks, and reworks defective parts.

Participates in the process of assembling and packing products. Operators will rotate throughout the department for business and safety practice.

Cross-trains in order to perform all tasks in job rotation. Works overtime, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Essential Functions This positions essential functions vary due to rotating assignments and include but are not limited to : Hook Hanger Maintains the Parts Identification Board for part identification.

Selects and hangs hooks with the proper spacing for each part. Sets gaps for color changes and ensures there are no unnecessary gaps in the line.

Starts and stops the line accordingly. Makes sure all hooks are stored in their proper place. Inspects and replaces heavily painted hooks, and places on racks for burn off.

Hang-On Properly utilizes the Parts Identification Board to maintain accurate part identification. Hangs quality parts on the paint line.

Accurately maintains accurate part identification using the Parts Identification Board. Counts, places and labels parts in proper containers.

Rework Uses sander, buffer, power washer, abrasive pad, etc., to rework rejected parts. Parts Bag Accurately places required hardware and other miscellaneous items into bag according to work instruction.

May initial completed parts bags. Places sealed bag on assembly line / or in product carton. Accurately completes quality documents.

Final Pack May build carton for unit. Organizes and accurately places parts inside carton according to work instructions Packs unit in designated carton according to work instructions.

Ensures all parts are in carton and accurate. Closes carton and may place on pallet. Additional functions Helps powder paint line area as needed to meet production goals.

Performs required PMs as scheduled. Cuts cardboard to line containers (i.e. red wire baskets), when applicable. Reworks parts that have been rejected.

Sweeps and cleans up the powder paint line area. Monitors quality as units are being packed. Build cartons for units are being packed.

Monitors quality as units are being packed Builds carton for unit according to work instruction. Maintains work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
