Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, administer and monitor the maintenance, repair, replacement and logistics of company vehicles
  • Ensure preventive maintenance programs are carried out as per schedule and monitor post repair performance.
  • Supervise and if necessary undertake the timely repair and servicing of damaged vehicles in order to minimize downtime
  • Work with and negotiate with repair vendors by market to insure minimized downtime and repair cost
  • Conduct analysis of vehicle status and make recommendations for timely replacement, including type of vehicles, spares etc. in order to improve cost-efficiency
  • Control transfer and movement of vehicles between locations as required by operations
  • Provide recommendations for lowering vehicle-operating expenses and reduce idle time of vehicles
  • Ensure all vehicle operation policies and systems are up to date and enforced
  • Regularly review and update vehicle fleet related policies at least once a year.
  • Maintain vehicle workshop in order to provide timely servicing/repairing of vehicles
  • Review fuel cards and check on notification issues
  • Manage GEOTAB zones and notifications for any maintenance related issues.
  • Review poor driving habits within the system of GEOTAB. This should be continuously monitored for driver behavior, such as speeding, excessive braking, long idle times, and erratic driving.
  • Responsible for registering and licensing each vehicle, and ensuring that licenses are always up to date
  • Manage any collision issues with the fleet for quick turnaround and proper repair.
  • Work with HR on any employee related incidents related to fleet operation
  • Abides by the company’s “Drug Free Workplace” Policy.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
