Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Title Processor to join our team. As a Title Processor, you will play a crucial role in facilitating real estate transactions by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of title documentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in financial services and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties:
- Review and analyze title reports, surveys, and legal documents to identify any issues or discrepancies
- Prepare and process all necessary paperwork for real estate transactions, including deeds, mortgages, and closing documents
- Coordinate with lenders, attorneys, and other parties involved in the transaction to ensure a smooth closing process
- Conduct thorough research on property records to verify ownership and resolve any outstanding liens or encumbrances
- Calculate closing costs, escrow payments, and prorated expenses accurately
- Collaborate with underwriters to address any title insurance concerns or requirements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, including TILA, RESPA, and Fair Housing regulations
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing timely updates on the status of their transactions
- Assist loan officers in gathering necessary documentation for loan processing and underwriting
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures related to title processing and mortgage servicing
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Title Processor or in a similar role within the financial services industry
- Strong understanding of title insurance processes and procedures
- Familiarity with bank requirements for FNMA loans
- Excellent mathematical skills for accurate calculations of closing costs and escrow payments
- Proficient in using computer software applications related to title processing and document management
- Knowledge of underwriting guidelines and requirements
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
