The impact you will make:

Agios Pharmaceuticals is searching for a dynamic Manager/Sr Manager, Global Compliance Operations and Analytics to join our growing Compliance team. The Manager/Sr Manager, Global Compliance Operations and Analytics will work as a member of the Compliance function, reporting to the VP of Global Compliance and will support implementation of all elements of Agios’s Compliance Program. This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work with the Compliance team, and cross-functionally across the organization, to ensure that the Compliance function's operations and business activities align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

What you will do:

  • Develop and deliver enhanced metrics and executive reporting
    • Develop compliance-related dashboards other tools to aggregate and disseminate compliance-related data
    • Develop executive reporting driving visibility and measurement of program health
    • Recommend system and process enhancements to better capture and report on compliance data
    • Partner within the function to organize information into clear executive reports for the VP of Global Compliance, senior leadership team, Global Compliance Committee members and the Board of Directors
  • Auditing and Monitoring
    • Develop and maintain global auditing/monitoring plans
    • Conduct field monitoring, data reviews, and audits of key compliance risk areas, in accordance with the auditing and monitoring plan
    • Prepare reports, provide recommendations to resolve issues and present findings to business leaders and senior management
  • Transparency Reporting
    • Oversee and manage all aspects of country, state and local transparency laws, and employee licensing/registration requirements, including the preparation
    • Administer review and submission of regulatory filings
  • Manage all global Compliance operations, procedures and program documentation
    • Draft, review, and maintain operating procedures
    • Administer all Compliance review workflows such as needs assessments, debarment checks, fair market value evaluations, etc. identifying and implementing improvements as applicable
    • Administer Compliance training assignment and completion tracking
    • Maintain all program documentation and records
    • Manage global Compliance department third-party/vendor relationships and related budgets
  • Support the implementation of the privacy program in partnership with Legal
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience in operations, process improvement, project management, and/or internal controls
  • Proficiency in metrics review, data management, reporting, and analysis
  • Strong command of digital analytical tools and visualization software tools to build and coordinate reports and dashboards, including the ability to monitor and interpret data
  • 5 year(s) of experience relating to healthcare compliance
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills - ability to present ideas and complex information clearly and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across the organization
  • Ability to respond to shifting priorities while maintaining progress of regularly scheduled work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work both independently and a team environment, as well as be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of own work with attention to detail
  • Ability to anticipate potential issues and proactively respond with good judgement and problem solving skills
  • Strong administrative skills, including use of computer software Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and PowerPoint skills required

Work Location:

Location Specific – Hybrid: This role requires some work onsite at our Cambridge Headquarters as needed. Hybrid schedules vary but are generally less than 3 days per week onsite. Regular conversations with manager are encouraged to ensure alignment on in-person presence/expectations. Employees in this role are expected to live within a commutable distance to the office and some travel may be required commensurate to the above job description and/or to attend team meetings and other company events.
