Finance Director – Assistant Executive Director

The Finance Director/Assistant Executive Director is a full-time exempt position that reports to the Executive Director.

The Finance Director/Assistant Executive Director is responsible for:

· Creating and maintaining an efficient and effective Administrative/Financial systems, including, but not limited to: financial, accounting, legal, information technology (IT), human resources (HR) and physical infrastructure; assumes role of Executive Director in their absence; provides supervision of Finance Assistant and Administrative Assistant/Receptionist.

Financial Management

· Prepares budgets, financial forecasting, and determines cash flow for administration, existing programs and proposed new programs;

· Monthly bank reconciliations;

· Prepares monthly invoices and all documents for submission for each grant;

· Coordinates and prepares documents for annual audit;

· Prepares financial reports for Board of Directors

Human Resources

· Oversees weekly payroll and benefits;

· Coordinates with Health Insurance, Worker’s Compensation insurance, Commercial Property insurance, and Management Liability Insurance for annual renewal/contracts;

· Submits annual report for 401 (c ) 3;

Information Technology

· Serves as liaison between organization and IT vendor;

· Responsible for all new user passwords and changes;

· Oversight of nightly backup

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Management or related field;

· Minimum of 2 years experience in financial management and accounting, preferably in a non-profit setting;

· Proficiency in Quickbooks; Microsoft Office;

· Experience with IT a plus;

· Experience in supervising staff;

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
