Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. Your duties will include performing clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our occupational medicine clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, assisting with billing and coding tasks
· Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
· Verifying insurance coverage and processing insurance claims
· Performing basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
· Assisting our providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples and other clinical duties
· Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms
· Interact in a positive and constructive manner
· Providing patient education and answering patient questions
· Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and ethical standards
· Follow company policies, procedures, and directives
· Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice
· Assisting with medical procedures as needed
Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications
· Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
· Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred
· Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
· Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
Hourly Rate Range: $18.00-$22.00/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
