We are seeking a Procurement Specialist I - Fleet Parts to join our team in Firebaugh, CA to work directly with the Procurement Manager on platform procurement and additional supplies as needed for the farm operation. Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking fleet inventory, tools, and consumables for all shops.

We offer an hourly rate of $25-31/hr based on experience along with medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k with competitive match, life insurance, and PTO.

Your primary responsibilities will determined by the Procurement Manager, where duties may include:
  • Procurement
    • Assist with daily purchasing activities and procure parts and inventory under the direction of the Procurement Manager.
    • Assist in coordination of logistics and delivery timing with vendor.
  • General Support
    • Support Procurement Manager, as needed.
    • Assist with monitoring of shop locations, parts support trailers, and parts support seatrains.
    • Support Procurement Manager in conducting weekly cycle counts, min/max, and any other required tasks.
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipments, and other warehouse activities for reporting and auditing purposes using computerized systems or manual tracking methods, with the express intent of maintaining 100% accuracy.
  • Purchase Orders
    • Execute purchase orders while maintaining accuracy and effectiveness through the procurement process.
    • Organize and confirm delivery of goods and services.
    • Management of purchase orders.
    • Proficiently prepare and present three comprehensive bids for review prior to procurement, demonstrating keen analytical skills and market knowledge to ensure informed decision-making and cost-effective purchasing of items.
  • Internal Part Support
    • Processing orders from internal departments. This includes updating various inventory systems.
    • Keeping the warehouse clean and organized, including regular maintenance of equipment and storage areas to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
    • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move and transport goods within the warehouse safely.
    • Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory transactions. Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and filed appropriately.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. AA Degree preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish.
  • Ability to gather, analyze and work with figures.
  • Solid judgment and strong decision-making skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Office Software.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate - verbal & written skills.
  • Ability to self-perform and work well under little supervision.
