Summary

This position will be responsible for supporting the Kraus-Anderson (KA) Yard department by servicing internal customers by receiving, processing, and filling orders in person and over the telephone;

advising internal customers on prices and materials. The position will also be responsible for tracking inventory and recordkeeping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Manages count levels on tools, equipment and consumables.
• Takes and writes delivery orders.
• Catalogs and numbers tools to inventory system.
• Labels shelves and creates barcodes.
• Receives, tracks and expedites incoming deliveries.
• Records and calculates maintenance records on vehicles and equipment.
• Prepares Purchase Orders for Field Superintendents and Yard Personnel.
• Insures transfer accuracy.
• Maintains procurement records, maintenance records & historical costs records for services.
• Maintains inventory log of maintenance supplies & Yard consumables.
• Checks Out Tools to Superintendents & Projects Based on Real Time Records of Assignments.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of Construction or Inventory Control experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction equipment and consumables
• Satisfactory verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
• Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Ability to possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of Inventory Control software
• Knowledge of ToolWatch software program
• Knowledge of ViewPoint software program

Other :

Valid forklift certification or ability to receive certification within 30 days
