Ag Plus Cooperative, one of Minnesota’s best locally owned cooperatives, is currently looking for Heavy Equipment Operators in southwest Minnesota. Ag Plus has experienced tremendous growth in our Agronomy division the past few years. With this growth, we have immediate openings in Canby, Ghent, Hendricks and Slayton, Minnesota.
Overview:
A Custom Applicator makes sure that spray equipment is working properly and applies pesticides or fertilizer in fields.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain all equipment (sprayers, spreaders, etc.)
- Mixing, loading and application of pesticides/fertilizers
- Apply pesticides and fertilizers at applicable rates to the appropriate fields
- Handle and deliver bulk and packaged chemicals
- Perform daily equipment inspections
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Maintain application/spray records
- Manage customer service relations
- Organize and coordinate application through central dispatch
- Knowledgeable with seed, chemical and fertilizer to make informed decisions
- Recertify spraying technician license and safety training every two years
- Valid driver’s license
- Hourly pay plus semi-annual incentive
- Seasonal shift differential pay in spring and fall
- Complete benefit package including paid time off, health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance and an excellent retirement package including 401(k) and pension
