GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION The Microsoft SharePoint Farm Admin will support the Solutions Delivery team as a part of a large, complex cybersecurity, engineering and PMO contract for a federal customer, providing expertise towards systems engineering solutions and services across a variety of platforms and technology. The successful candidate will work with the SD Solutions Architect to provide technical support to solutioning engineer and engineering-related projects, including a migration to SharePoint Online in 2025. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and have the inherent interest to continue learning new technologies to collaboratively solve problems. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES • Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems including and integrating with SharePoint on-premises. • Manages integrated system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. • Provides support to SharePoint Farm including: day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems. • Provides support in SharePoint administration, installation, migration, implementation, topology, and server configuration (Web and Index). • The position requires working independently, designing, planning, implementing, and maintaining complex SP Server 2013/2016 and SQL server environments, including implementation, configuration and support of web front end servers, index servers, and application and search servers. • Supports all components of the SharePoint environment including form, administrative site collection administration activities such as site creation, user training, backup, restore, performance analysis, and issue resolution. • Assists in the design, architecture, availability, reliability, and security of future SP environments and work with customers to document administrative tasks and verify service level agreement requirements are being met. • Works closely with staff to provide advice and support to properly implement engineering efforts into test/dev and production environments. • Works with other technical staff to train them on proper SP Administration and troubleshooting techniques as well as outline standard processes and procedures for administration and engineering. • Develops and participates in development of configuration documentation relating to the server and SharePoint configuration environments as well as integrations to other systems. SOFT SKILLS: • Experience with collaborating with cross-functional teams within the organization, and other offices to ensure the integration and compatibility of network solutions with other IT systems and applications. • Strong "solutions-oriented" and collaborative mindset to drive solutions and execution for the good of the mission and team. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to understand and effectively communicate technical concepts to others. • Excellent ability to interact skillfully and diplomatically with numerous counterparts and build rapport, including contract stakeholders, government representatives and vendors • Solid goal-oriented thinking, while possessing the business acumen to align projects to business outcomes • Flexibility and ability to swiftly adapt to a customer environment and positively integrate oneself • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with a data-driven mindset • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a continuous process improvement culture Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing project review support, including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information POSITION REQUIREMENTS • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance. • Bachelor's Degree 8 years of work experience or HS Diploma 10 years of work experience • 5 years of experience with SQL administration. • 5 years of experience SharePoint 2013 (or newer) Administration and design. • 5 years of experience with Relational Database and operating systems. • 5 years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory Administration. • 5 years of experience with writing, modifying and running PowerShell Scripts • 5 years of experience administrating SharePoint 2013 (or newer), and SharePoint fundamentals including out of the box webparts, workflows, lists, content types, and master pages.
