Farm Custodian Job Description:
A Farm/Office custodian plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within a farming facility. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained, which contributes to a productive and efficient work environment. Here is a detailed job description for a manufacturing custodian.
Under the direct supervision of the Reliability Manager, the Custodian is responsible for following routine farm tasks according to AeroFarms' Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities:
  1. Cleaning and Sanitizing:
  1. Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
  2. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas (including the Farm).
  3. Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly (including the Farm).
  4. Clean and maintain manufacturing equipment, ensuring it is free from dirt and debris (including the Farm.
  5. Keep workstations, offices, and hallways clean and organized.
  6. Working the Farm cleaning up standing water and other requested needed.
  1. Safety Maintenance:
  1. Identify and report any safety hazards or potential risks to the appropriate personnel.
  2. Ensure that safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times.
  3. Maintain cleanliness in hazardous areas, such as chemical storage areas.
  4. Monitor and restock safety supplies, such as gloves, masks, and cleaning agents.
  1. Inventory Management:
  1. Assist in monitoring inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when restocking is required.
  2. Maintain accurate records of cleaning supplies used and report any discrepancies.
  3. Collaborate with procurement to ensure an adequate supply of cleaning materials.
You Have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak basic English (required)
  • General work experience will be considered in place of manufacturing experience. AeroFarms training provided.
  • Be able to work in a cold environment (
  • Availability to work one weekend day: Saturday or Sunday.
  • Ability to respect and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up 75lbs.
Wage: $17.00/HR., paid weekly (Benefits eligible effective 1st day of employment)
Shift: Day
Required: Must Work four days during the week between Monday - Friday and one weekend day, Saturday or Sunday.
