Position Summary Information
Job Goal

Facilitate the delivery of innovative and high demand Industrial Technologies and Agriculture programming across the district. This position will be responsible to network with business, industry and faculty/staff to review current programming, make recommendations for revisions and create new programming for delivery for credit, non-credit and contract training.
Duties and Responsibilities

Review and coordinate current NICC programming district-wide and make recommendations for integration of Industrial Technologies and Agriculture between non-credit and credit divisions.
Assist with the development of competency-based programs.
Facilitate Business and Learn Teams "BILT" for identified credit programs.
Identify in-demand business training needs and develop programs; work with faculty on project management processes and the identification of program metrics for Industrial Technologies and Agriculture.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a master's degree in one or more of the following areas: Industrial Technologies, Agriculture, Business, Education. Applicants must have strong technology skills and documented experience with manufacturing industry. Project management experience, training in lean principles and maintenance and inventory principles preferred. Must meet minimum experience and education requirements as outlined by the Iowa Code sections 260C.47 and 260C.48 and the Northeast Iowa Community College Quality Faculty Plan.
Essential Functions

Attend advisory board and community board meetings as requested with the expectation to build business relationships that could result in new non-credit programming and/or pathways to Industrial Technologies credit programs.
Assist with recruitment of employers, development of goals, and facilitation of manufacturing alliance group
Oversee college CTE laboratory equipment acquisition, inventory and maintenance schedules; ensure periodic maintenance schedules are created and maintained for all equipment, including implementation of 5S best practices for all faculty and labs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of non-credit and credit college programs, services, processes, procedures, and other relevant resources, including competency-based education opportunities.
Establish and maintain external relationships with businesses, community colleges, state and local partners. Function as an effective team leader, maintaining positive working relationships with team members. Communicate effectively with supervisor about successes, issues and barriers as they relate to the position and students.
Assist with Career Pathway/Academy development and implementation in the high schools.
Support functions under the Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Technology and Agriculture programming areas as assigned.
