Compensation: The pay is calculated on a tiered scale with a top hourly rate of $27 per hour.

Job Overview:

The Supervisor is a critical role which bridges hands-on fieldwork with leadership responsibilities. You'll oversee the daily operations of biohazard cleanup projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency. This individual will lead, motivate, and problem solve with their team in highly sensitive and emotional situations, frequently interacting with families who have experienced the loss of a loved one. The role requires a balance of sales, technical expertise, strong communication, and team leadership, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

Experience and Skills:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to service calls, providing job site services in various emergency situations.
  • Accurately estimate, recommend, and advise on project scopes, manage cleanups, and handle necessary paperwork.
  • Responsible for effectively communicating and selling a tailored scope of work based on a thorough understanding of the client’s needs, and obtaining sign-off to initiate work.
  • Lead on-site customer interactions with empathy and professionalism, providing high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the biohazard remediation process.
  • Onsite supervision and support of the Technician(s) in various biohazard remediation projects, including suicides, homicides, unattended deaths, viral disinfection, and more.
  • Adhere strictly to safety and compliance protocols, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Exhibit compassionate professionalism in all interactions, both within the team and with customers, especially in sensitive and emotional situations.
  • Proactively communicate updates and important information to the Shop Manager, ensuring they are kept well-informed about shop activities, team performance, and critical incidents.
  • Coordinate logistics and travel for the team, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring efficient and effective project execution.
  • Responsible for the use and care of company equipment and vehicle maintenance.
  • Participate in comprehensive training programs in biohazard cleanup process and procedures, safety, compliance, customer service, and related skills.
  • Provide ongoing training of processes, procedures, and safety compliance to the team, ensuring the highest standards of service and technical proficiency.
  • Support Shop Managers in daily operations and special projects as needed.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing work conditions and assignments.
  • This role may require undertaking other duties as assigned by the Shop Manager or as necessitated by business needs and may evolve with organizational changes.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to respond to dispatch office within one hour of receiving a call.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Occasional overnight travel, with accommodations provided by the company.
  • Capable of handling a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Must reside locally and be able to respond to the shop within one hour of receiving a service call
  • Must have demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience, preferably in a technical or field service environment.
  • Must possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must show a commitment to professional development and continuous learning in biohazard remediation and related fields.
  • Must have completed Aftermath’s Field Learning Path with 30 days after start

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of Aftermath’s Supervisor Learning Path within 90 days after start, or equivalent experience in biohazard remediation, construction, demolition, restoration, or a related field.
  • Experience in coordinating and leading teams, particularly in emergency response or high-stress situations.
  • Experience in construction, demolition, restoration, or related fields.
  • Strong work ethic and multitasking abilities.
  • Customer service experience and military personnel are highly valued.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and familiarity with project management principles.
