Afterschool Theatre and Acting Instructor

Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Afterschool Theatre and Acting Instructor to join our team. This role involves introducing elementary and middle school students to the exciting world of theatre and acting. The instructor will be responsible for developing a fun and engaging program that ignites students' interest in the arts, encourages their creativity, and helps them develop basic acting skills.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a beginner-friendly theatre curriculum suitable for elementary and middle school students.
• Organize simple performances and drama activities that allow students to explore various roles and aspects of theatre production.
• Encourage creativity and expression in students through improvisation, storytelling, and character development exercises.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that nurtures students’ confidence and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

• Experience in theatre arts, drama education, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for teaching young children.
• Ability to design age-appropriate, educational, and engaging activities.
• Patience and flexibility to work effectively with young students from diverse backgrounds.
• Must have availability 2 pm – 5 pm

Working Hours:

• Classes will meet twice a week for 1 hour each.

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
