Job Title: Non-Bake Cooking Instructor for Elementary Students - After School Program

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cooking Instructor to lead a non-bake culinary class for elementary students in our after-school program. The instructor will engage students with hands-on lessons, covering various non-bake techniques and recipes, ensuring a fun, safe, and educational environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute a non-bake cooking curriculum suitable for a summer program, balancing learning and enjoyment.
• Prepare daily lesson plans, including ingredients, equipment needs, and recipe instructions.
• Supervise and interact with students, providing individual attention and adjusting lessons as needed.
• Manage the classroom environment, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards.
• Engage with students to foster a passion for cooking and encourage creativity.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a chef, cooking instructor, or similar culinary role.
• Proficiency in various non-bake cooking techniques and recipes.
• Strong communication and motivational skills to engage and inspire students.
• Ability to plan and organize a comprehensive non-bake cooking curriculum.
• Adaptable teaching style to meet the needs and interests of students.
• Must pass a background check and Live Scan.
• Must complete additional online trainings as required.

Schedule:

• June 24-28, 2 hours per day, afternoon schedule.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
