Job Description
We are seeking a skilled IT & Engineering application Support tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and engineering applications. This role involves responding to queries, running diagnostic programs, isolating problems.
Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain engineering software applications (e.g., Autodesk, Aveva tools). s.
• Ensure compatibility with operating systems and other software used in the organization.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with engineering applications.
• Collaborate with software vendors for complex issues or patches.
• Monitor application performance and resource utilization.
• Identify and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Keep applications up-to-date with the latest patches and updates.
• Serve as contact for Regional IT for IT-related issues.
• To assist Regional IT for in person technical support local IT issues
• Maintain and troubleshoot hardware components (e.g., computers, printers, networking devices).
• Assist Regional IT in maintaining an inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software licenses.
• Open track and help regional IT resolve incidents and problems.
• Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as an IT & Engineering application Support tech or similar role.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Experience Installation & configuration Engineering application tools (ie Autodesk suit)
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms (Windows and Linux).
• Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to handle the fast-paced working environment.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• In-depth understanding of computer systems, networks, and software.
• Familiar with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Ansible
