AFP System is Hiring a Payroll/HR Specialist Near Tualatin, OR

Job Overview:
Come join our growing team! AFP Systems Inc specializes in the design, installation, service, and maintenance of automated fire sprinkler systems.

We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual to handle Payroll and HR duties out of our Tualatin area office, serving approximately 50 employees. This position will require exceptional attention to detail and organization, the ability to communicate effectively with other team members, and someone who can maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

This is a full-time position based in our office.

General responsibilities include:

  • Perform recruiting and onboarding of new hires as needed
  • Prepare payroll weekly and process in QuickBooks Payroll
  • Maintain all employee files and responding to inquiries as needed
  • Complete all benefit changes with regards to new hires, open enrollment, terminations, and monthly reconciliations
  • Handle all HR related tasks such as worker’s comp, employment verifications, recruiting, and FMLA
  • Be willing to assist with resolving employee disputes and disciplinary actions as necessary
  • Establishing a positive working relationship with all team members
  • Utilizing available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Qualifications:

· Previous QuickBooks experience

· Strong knowledge of federal and state employment regulations and best practices

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel

· Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
