AFP advanced food products llc is Hiring a 1st Shift Quality Technician Near Holland, PA

Summary of Position:

Testing of raw, on line and finished product to ensure it remains within specification and correction of any potential problems. Completion of paperwork to support testing compilation of testing results, i.e., high, low and averages batching of micro ingredients.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

· Tests raw product – pH, solids, density, temperature, salt, fat, protein, vitamin C; Tests on line products – pH, viscosity, solids, temperature; Checks can integrity to ensure the product is commercially sterile; Checks packaging – correct codes, labels, boxes.

· Inspects incoming trucks for cleanliness, rodent and pest infestation; Performs line clearance before and after each product to prevent coding and labeling the wrong product. Tests incubated product - ensures no spoilage issues.

· Follows up on holds; Sends samples to customers; Sets up/tears down lines; Cleans lab equipment; Types daily production schedule; Lifts up to 50 pounds; Frequent overtime required; Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Requires high school education; must have ability to use basic shop mathematics; handbook formulas; may need to interpret simple blueprints or drawings, use a wide variety of tools or precision measuring instruments; may set-up, re-tool, operate a somewhat complex machine on repetitive work; computer skills including excel and word.
