Job Description

SCOPE OF POSITION: Responsible for organization and ensuring implementation of all aspects and technical portions of specifically assigned grant(s) including management, conducting and/or overseeing all required grant deliverables. Support the Public Affairs Team with business intelligence research and reports; and research, writing, editing and/or auditing of documents and grants for submission to private, corporate, and governmental sources. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Maintains the administrative records including official original grant/contract documents for specific assignments.
  2. Responsible for post award implementation through close-out for assigned grants.
  3. Manage day-to-day of public and private partnerships with a collaborative approach weaving together concurrent programs or other organizations to leverage and maximize resources to create community and population-based change.
  4. Acts as central depository for all grant/contract documents and executes archival links of the administrative records in an efficient manner.
  5. Develops correspondence and reports as well as disseminates grant/contract documents to appropriate departments.
  6. Assists in the development and implementation of appropriate policies and procedures for successful grant implementation.
  7. Develops processes, implements procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow.
  8. Develops and administers a system for tracking and monitoring assigned grants for compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and funding requirements.
  9. Works with supervisor across AFMC departments to develop and maintain central control system for all award/contract deliverables incompliance with agreements.
  10. Compiles, stores, and retrieves grant/contract compliance data on a regular basis for monitoring purposes and as requested by management and funding agency.
  11. Evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and reports these results to the supervisor.
  12. Produces written correspondence to distribute and request information to both internal and external parties.
  13. Provides progress report preparation, subcontract monitoring, and close out documentation.
  14. Provides technical support regarding grants/contracts to resolve issues and correct deficiencies as needed.
  15. Advises participants of updates by providing correspondence, training and/or regular meetings as established by the funding agency or needs of the group.
  16. Enforces and resolves complaints connected with projects according to policies and procedures.
  17. Establishes and maintains a communicative relationship with appropriate counterparts.
  18. Assists in budget preparation, review, and execution.
  19. Assists in special projects, outreach activities, and/or assigned teams.
  20. Adhere to format, content and corporate style guidelines as well as academic styles, giving consideration to usability and ensuring accuracy, consistency and quality.
  21. Follow AFMC, state and federal protocols regarding data confidentiality/security and HIPAA compliance.

Job Requirements

Physical and Sensory Requirements (With or Without the Aid of Mechanical Devices):Mobility, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, ability to read and write ability to communicate with personnel, ability to remain calm under stress. Must be able to lift and transport 25 pounds. Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations. 

EDUCATION:Required: Associate’s degree in relevant field.
Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. 

EXPERIENCE:Required: Two (2) years of experience in grant administration and/or operations including meeting reporting requirements. Proven track record in grant and or contract writing and program development. Knowledge of research methods and analyses of diverse data. Knowledge of grant and or contract application process, scoring criteria and funding cycles
Desirable: Experience in public healthcare industry
