Affton School District is Hiring a SUBSTITUTE CUSTODIAN Near St. Louis, MO

ANTICIPATED START DATE: Immediately Upon Hire

DETAILS: Substitute positions work on an as needed basis, 12 months per year.

COMPENSATION: The Substitute Custodian rate of pay is $14.50/hourly. A full day for a Substitute Custodian would be an 8 hour day. This position works an irregular schedule therefore, this position does not include benefits.

JOB SUMMARY: To provide students with a safe, clean, efficient and comfortable place in which to learn, play and develop to their full potential.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requires prior cleaning experience, school cleaning experience preferred
Requires the ability to perform essential functions of the position
Requires the ability to safely operate all custodial equipment
Requires the ability to be dependable and punctual
Requires the ability to read & interpret documents such as operating & maintenance instructions, procedures, safety rules, etc.
Requires willingness to complete job-related training
Requires the ability to work independently, use good judgment, and be able to follow written and oral instructions
Requires the ability to remain flexible & positive with the demands of the job without losing sight of the mission, task or assignment
Requires the ability to develop effective working relationships with students and the school community
Requires the ability to work with a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural population
