The Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for design and development of communication and memory interfaces for high frequency motor drives and associated systems. Aerospace / Auto or Medical industries. are OK Aerospace a plus.
 

Position Responsibilities:

· Design, development, and testing of embedded firmware across multiple processors.

· Develop applications using Code Composer Studio for Texas Instruments processors.

o Floating point: TMS320F28379D,TMS320F238xD

o Fixed point: TMS320F281x

· Direct experience with Real-time sensor acquisition and processing (analog and digital); Serial communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, CAN, etc.); Testing and writing firmware for untested PCBs; Data logging and working with embedded file systems; Version control (GIT, etc.)

· Implement innovative solutions utilizing your knowledge of CAN 2.0 B communication and SAE J1939 protocol.

· Define and develop code flashing and update mechanism.

· Setup a GUI to display faults and error message responses to the end client over the communication channel.

· Develop external memory interfaces to store faults and key parameters.

· Product ownership meaning documenting all aspects of the software and working with the team to define test procedures to ensure product validation, as well as create all associated procedures and manuals.

· Oversee product testing and support troubleshooting.

Position Qualifications:

· Minimum MSEE, Specialization in Embedded software/Firmware Engineering preferred

· 5 to 10 years of relevant experience

· Superior skill in C/C /Python in an embedded environment.

· Experience in setting up communication interface namely CAN 2.0 B and SAE J1939.

· Knowledgeable in Texas Instruments processors and Code Composer Studio.

· Knowledge in programming external memory interfaces(EMIF) namely RAM, ROM and SD cards.

· Experience is setting up GUI interfaces from scratch.

· Proficient in using a variety of simulation tools such as LTspice, Simulink.

· Understanding of safely requirements and programming faults and error messages for end client application.

· Knowledge of electrical standards/codes
