About Affini-T Therapeutics

Affini-T Therapeutics is an emerging biotechnology company focused on targeting oncogenic driver mutations with a “best-in-class” TCR therapy platform. Our innovative method of discovering high affinity TCRs specific to oncogenic driver mutations is used to develop therapies against malignant diseases. Through the application of gene editing and synthetic biology, we aim to enhance T-cell fitness to overcome the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, with the ultimate goal of inducing long-term responses in patients with solid tumors.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Clinical Data Sciences & Biostatistics, the Biostatistics Intern will be responsible for providing statistical and programming support to the clinical data science and biostatistics team. The Biostatistics Intern will perform statistical programming tasks to generate clinical tables, figures, and listings (TFLs), as well as contributing to the statistical methodology research and stimulation studies. The expected duration of this internship is three months, with the potential to be extended based on additional project needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The major tasks for this position are as follows:

Applying SAS, R and Python programming skills to generate clinical tables, figures and listings (TFLs).
Contribute to statistical methodology research and simulations studies.
Developing statistical metrics and programs to monitor clinical data quality and completeness.
Implementing R Shiny applications and presenting work products to the team.

Required Qualifications

Education and Experience:

In-process or completion of a Bachelors, Graduate or PhD STEM program including but not limited to Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, etc.
Knowledge and experience in the use of SAS, R and Python software – coursework experience is adequate.
A team player with strong communication skills that is able to work both independently and in a group setting.
