Summary: AFC Urgent Care is looking for Full Time MAs to staff our brand new, state of the art urgent care centers in Beverly and Swampscott, MA. Our ideal candidate has all the qualifications listed below, but that's only part of it. The most important part: you treat our patients with the respect, love and care that you'd treat a member of your own family.

Everyone walking through our doors is there because they're sick and need help. We're here to send them home with a smile. If we can't do that, we've failed. Successful candidates for this position will never need to be told this twice.

Objective: Greet and register patients and handle front office administrative tasks and assist providers in back office patient care.

Reports to: Regional Practice Manager

Responsibilities and Duties

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

• Assist in patient care including

- Escort patient to room

- Take vital signs

- Document patient data

- Assist provider

- Discharge patients from room with instructions

- Clean room

• Ensure patient flow is speedy and organized
• Inventory supplies, replenish supplies when received
• Assist in maintaining equipment
• Ensure cleanliness of patient waiting area and front office area
• Greet and register patients

Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting

• MA Diploma required - DEAL BREAKER
• Professional appearance
• Team player who is equally comfortable working independently
• Warm, friendly attitude with excellent patient interaction skills
• Team player, excellent verbal and communication skills, adaptable in different situations, possesses excellent client interaction skills, able to multi-task and work independently
• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts and weekends
