About the Role

As a QA Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of QA Lab Technologists operating the QA lab, and QA Technologists operating as auditors within the plant. The QA Supervisor will work closely to support the quality engineering team to maintain product and process quality. You will use your skills in quality assurance to influence and inspire change while ensuring that safety and quality are maintained.

As a key member of AESC US LLC, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to lead in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future. Reporting to the Quality Manager you will lead your team to ensure all required lab testing and quality audits are completed according to plan. Your work within the Quality Assurance Team will directly impact our strategic goals and contribute to our position as a global leader in battery technology.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Your performance will be measured against several critical indicators. Your ability to successfully lead your team to ensure customer quality metrics are achieved will be a key performance indicator. Additionally, your contributions to the overall success of the Quality Engineering team will be monitored. Your Team

You will be reporting directly to the Quality manager, who brings over 12 years of experience in battery manufacturing quality. You will collaborate closely with a group of dedicated professionals, each contributing their unique skills and expertise to our collective success. Currently, the team consists of 15 talented individuals in roles such as Quality Engineer, QA Lab Technologist and QA Technologist, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead, mentor, and collaborate with your colleagues to drive impactful results. What You Will Do

  • Analyze and resolve complex issues and provide alternative solutions as necessary. Influence leadership on specific recommendations for current operations and future development.
  • Lead a team of technologists responsible for the operation of the quality lab and plantwide process audits
  • Plan and executes the daily activities required to achieve testing requirements and audit schedules
  • Anticipates problems and delays for production schedules and corrects through problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Achieve Safety, Quality, Cost and Time (SQCT) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Coordinate and communicate with managers and peers on other shifts, to ensure standardization of manufacturing operations
  • Generate KPI reports as needed
  • Prepare One Point Lesson’s (OPL) and Standard Operating Sheets (SOS) in support of AESC Production Way
  • Handles all administrative duties and paperwork
  • Organize installation and training for all new laboratory equipment
  • Establish workflow and schedules across 4 shifts for QA Technologists and QA Lab Technologists to meet production need

What You Need

  • Two or more years of battery manufacturing experience
  • Two or more years of leadership experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards.
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards.

What is “Nice to Have”?

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Manufacturing lab experience
  • Process auditing experience

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
