About the Role

As a key member of AESC US LLC, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to lead in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future. You will work to improve the overall skill level of the Maintenance department in the Battery Plant. You will help identify the technical skill sets required to be a successful Maintenance Technician and will define the level of performance per skill. You will monitor the Maintenance department's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure that the current training curriculum aligns with the current skill issues on the floor and adjust if necessary. Works across the organization to foster continuous improvement for long-term success.

Your work within the Maintenance Team will directly impact our strategic goals and contribute to our position as a global leader in battery technology.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the annual skills assessment of the technicians.
  • Develop the annual training plan for all technicians in the department.
  • Track the technician training history for each technician in the department.
  • Develop and track all KPIs related to technical training.
  • Develop and schedule training curriculums and facilitate the training.
  • Understand the AESC Reliability Centered Maintenance strategy and incorporate that mindset into the training curriculum.
  • Coordinate all training for new equipment installations.
  • Communicate with suppliers and vendors regularly on training material and training class availability.
  • Create shopping baskets for vendor training and training materials. Track and monitor all training expenses and training budget.
  • Take the lead role in explaining the department training system during any department capability audit.
What You Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus a 2-year certificate in the Industrial Maintenance Field or equivalent certificate/degree.
  • 5 years of experience in a multi-skilled maintenance environment
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint
  • Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts.
  • Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards.
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards.
What is “Nice to Have”?
  • Knowledge of battery manufacturing, EV manufacturing, or refinery operations
  • Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is advantageous.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
