We have a great opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at AES Clean Technologies. This opportunity is perfect for a candidate with previous experience in a manufacturing setting. 

The Quality Manager’s role is to ensure that products and services produced are of high quality and satisfy both internal and external requirements. This includes meeting and exceeding customer expectations in compliance with regulatory requirements. This position has responsibility for managing the people and services provided by the Quality Department.

Responsibilities of this role:

• Ability to collaborate with different departments to manage nonconformities. 

• Review in-process quality failures and determine the disposition of nonconforming materials.

• Correspond with customers and suppliers to resolve problems

• Lead root cause investigations through to effective long-term resolutions

• Collect and analyze performance data and charts against set indicators and parameters

• Define and implement quality initiatives and programs that result in consistently meeting company quality goals, objectives and KPIs

• Use appropriate tools and equipment to assess failure modes and associated risk; develop plans to mitigate, eliminate or control potential quality hazards

• Identify quality-related training needs, ensuring they are delivered to appropriate staff on a continuous basis as required

• Productively engage with customers and vendors on a regular basis

• Coordinate, communicate, and host customer and AIB certification audits

• Stay informed of regulatory law changes; initiate appropriate actions within the facility to ensure compliance

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Science or Mathematics

• Minimum of three years management experience in a similar role in a manufacturing facility preferred

• Knowledge of current safety standards/practices and a firm commitment to maintain and enhance them

• Thorough understanding of quality principles and techniques. CQE/ CQM/ CQA certifications a plus.

• Well-developed human relations/people management skills; able to delegate authorityand provide guidance, direction, goals, feedback and discipline. Easily able to developpositive working relationships with a wide range of people

• Strong written communication and presentation skills

• Well developed database and spreadsheet experience including solid financial reporting acumen and strong overall computer literacy

• Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to make quick and appropriate decisions including multitasking and prioritizing

• Experience in implementing Operational Excellence projects (SMED, Six Sigma, Lean) Black Belt certification preferred

• Experience with FM, ICC, UL, ISS standards desirable.
