Job Description:

The Production Scheduler is part of our corporate staff who assists with scheduling production for each of our farm departments of growing, harvesting, and packaging to ensure OTIF rate for customer shipments for our Newark, NJ and Danville, VA Farms.

You Will:

  • Work in coordination with our Demand Planning Manager to schedule our Farm production schedules to hit our demand plan
  • Responsible for understanding production and production capacities/improvement on production capacities during Danville farm ramp up, to efficiently schedule daily production plans
  • Understand variety algorithms and SKU recipes to schedule towers appropriately for best quality and yield
  • Understand customer requirements for shelf life and logistics plan to service those customers to enable successful planning of growing, harvest, and packaging
  • Inform key stakeholder for decision making process on customer expansions and launches with expertise in the production scheduling for short-term and long-term initiatives
  • Analyze grow tower data to inform supply plan
  • Analyze machine throughput data, especially during Danville, VA farm ramp up, to better understand production capacities in each department to help inform supply plan
  • Work in coordination with Farm Production Coordinator and Farm operations leadership staff on daily outputs of Farm to understand, develop, and execute plans for Farm production planning
  • Develop and execute contingency plans as needed in coordination with Production Coordinator and Farm operations leadership staff

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Proficient in using and synthesizing data in Excel
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Must be analytical and a problem solver
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of ERP/SAP systems
  • Passion, energy, and interpersonal skills to help ensure our short-term and long-term production needs

Preferred:

  • Experience working in food manufacturing environment, especially produce, is a plus
